If you want your clients to have a great experience coaching with you then take them through the process of tracking their efforts…and their accomplishments.

Don’t just talk about them….track them.
It is a significantly different experience when they can look at a tracking sheet and SEE where they have come from….and what they have created.

People tend to forget.
They can barely remember what happened last week.
Your client will forget what action steps it took to accomplish that last goal and they are going to forget the successes they had last month.

Do you want your clients to forget what happened while they were coaching with you?
Nope.

The more they remember the journey… and the more they remember the successes the more they are going to spread the word to others about the great experience they had with you. 
(That’s a good thing)

Set them up with some simple tracking forms.

Here are 2 examples.

Well, you can make them digital or turn it into a type of form.  :-) 
My job is to point out the value in having the process in place.

The Action Step Tracker is used for the journey towards their next goal.
Seems like this could be time consuming….but actually, it’s MIND OPENING!
The best thing your client could go through is an awakening that they are making progress, looking back and remembering how they adjusted and course corrected to get where they are.

THEY CAN NAVIGATE the challenges.  That belief that they can work through whatever comes their way.  That is what an Action Step tracker will do for them.

THIS IS LIQUID GOLD!
Success Tracker.
Before the client forgets the small and the large successes that they have, get it written down.
Either you write it down or they do.

Super valuable to review the successes at the end or beginning of each month. 
A review like this will tune their mind into the belief that “HEY, I had success….if I can do that last month…I can do that again this month!!!”

You and I both know that the BELIEF in SELF is a big rocket engine for progress.
Documented success stories give them content to ponder on and to see what they have done.
No success is too small to add to the list.

It’s common for a client to NOT see success and they only can see the problems that they are facing.  That is a learned behavior and can be damaging to their performance.
Turning their mind to SEE the success can activate a whole new level of ambition that can really propel them forward.

At first they mock this process and treat it like it isn’t necessary, but deep down, every human is looking for validation for the work and progress that they have made. So, do this, set them up and don’t let them wiggle out of it.  I will never forget this guy I was coaching and he mocked this every time I brought it up… sheeesh… he was relentless… well, I didn’t back off… 6 months into our coaching he was still using it.  He got really good at seeing the changes and transformation that he was going through.  That changed his life.

Use these ideas to set up your own process and put it into action.
If you already have these in place… well… good on ya!  Great job.

PRO-TIP - I ask my clients to tell me what they are learning about themselves as we review their success or their Action Step Tracker.  It’s great to see how much more they understand themselves.
